Elizabeth Davies
Nature has always been my source of inspiration.
My abstract designs have been inspired by the beauty of plants, from the fine grasses and wild flowers of the open meadow to the majestic age-old trees of the forest.
I throw my rounded vessels, and now also hand-build tall vases, which then become canvases for organic, bark-like designs. I strive for lightness and elegance of form, always using multiple trails of glaze.
My intention is always to intrigue, and to have the viewer feel the urge to reach out, to touch and to hold.
