Pottery Introduction: Wheel Throwing and Hand Building – January 7th to February 25th, 2020

Where: Gladstone Clayworks Pottery Co-op, 949B Gladstone Ave, Ottawa
Cost: $265 (6 weeks – tax included)
Clay cost: $35 (includes glazes and firing) paid directly to instructor at first class.

This six week class will introduce the basic processes of pottery, including hand building, wheel throwing, trimming, making handles, and glazing. The focus will be on making functional bowls and mugs.

This class is limited to 6 students to provide as much individual attention as possible.

Cancellation and Refund Policy: If a registered student drops out after the first class they will receive a refund of $150, provided they give notice no later than 48 hours before the second scheduled class.

There will be no refunds if a student cancels after the second class.

About Sinjin Dixon-Warren

Sinjin has been actively making pots since 1985 when he first took an evening class at Central Technical High School in Toronto. He has been a member of Gladstone Clayworks Cooperative since 2013 and he is a regular participant in the Ottawa Guild of Potters Christmas Sale. His interests include wheel throwing, hand building and sculptural work.
