About the Studio
Gladstone ClayWorks has 25 members who pursue their love of clay in a creative and supportive artist-run space. Formed in 2003, ClayWorks continues to thrive and evolve with its diverse membership. Our artists show their individually distinctive works in our gallery, as well as in galleries across Ottawa, Canada and internationally. Several members have won awards for their work.
Sharing Our Passion
The City of Ottawa and provincial government regulations now allow us to offer group classes . Our classes offer students the opportunity to learn basic and advanced pottery skills under the experienced instruction of our artists.
Studio Features
Gladstone ClayWorks is located in a century-old former industrial bakery building in Hintonburg, surrounded by other artists and creative collectives, shops and a vibrant urban neighbourhood. The studio itself is a brightly lit, welcoming and warm space of 1800 square feet.
Our Gallery
Come and visit us, and see our work in our gallery (someone is usually working away, and can let you in). However, our pottery gallery is currently closed to the public due to COVID-19. We look forward to welcoming you back in the future. You can view examples of our work on our website www.gladstoneclayworks.ca under our Artists' profiles. Please feel free to contact individual artists using the link in their profile if you are interested in purchasing their work.
