Introduction to the Wheel – Fall 2025

$375.00
This 6 week “Intro to the Wheel” class will be a chance to try throwing clay on the wheel.
Classes are Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 9:00 pm, starting October 22nd.
Cost is $375.00 per student (cancelations accepted until October 8th) PLUS $40.00 cash payable to the instructor at the first class for clay.
- Week 1
- Orientation to the Studio, Purchase clay, Cutting & preparing the clay for the wheel (wedging), throwing
- Weeks 2 & 3
- Throwing
- Week 4
- Trimming & more throwing
- Week 5
- Finish trimming, handle making & application, use of coloured slips & underglazes
- Week 6
- Glazing
Your instructor – Carol Holmes-Kerr
Carol has been a potter for 26 years and teaching wheel throwing hand building for 15 years. She has taught classes at Gladstone ClayWorks, Gloucester Pottery School, and Hintonburg Potter Studio.
